ShareGameGrid
Privacy and browser storage
How ShareGameGrid handles your data.
Updated 8 October 2026
Your grid stays on your device
Game titles, tile prompts and the selected square are saved in localStorage. Selected cover images and uploaded images are saved in IndexedDB. The site generates your PNG in the browser and does not upload your draft or image files to a ShareGameGrid server. The saved draft has no automatic expiry; it remains until you reset the grid or clear this site’s browser data. Anyone using the same browser profile may see it.
Cover searches and external services
As you type a game title, your browser sends the search text to CheapShark and Wikipedia in the current language and English. Loading a cover contacts its image host, which may include Steam or Wikimedia. These providers receive normal network information such as your IP address and browser details and apply their own policies. Uploaded images are read locally. CheapShark · Wikimedia · Steam.
Hosting and traffic statistics
Cloudflare serves the site and may process IP addresses, request details and security information to deliver and protect it. Ahrefs Web Analytics loads in its default cookieless mode to measure page visits, referrers and device or country information. Cookieless does not mean that no data is processed. Cloudflare · Ahrefs.
Optional analytics and your choice
Google Analytics loads only after you accept optional analytics. It measures usage events such as selecting tiles, searching covers, exporting and opening sharing options. Our custom events do not include your typed game titles, custom prompts, uploaded image files or contact email. Google may process IP addresses and device information and store analytics cookies. Google advertising signals and ad personalization are disabled in this analytics configuration. Microsoft Clarity is not configured in the current production build. You can change your choice using Analytics settings in the footer. Declining stops further optional analytics on this page and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies on this site; providers may retain previously collected data under their own policies. Google.
Advertising
No Google AdSense ads are currently loaded on this site. If we enable them, Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies to serve ads based on previous visits to this and other sites. Google advertising cookies can enable Google and its partners to personalize ads. You can manage personalization in Google Ads Settings or opt out of participating vendors through aboutads.info. Applicable regional consent choices will be provided before advertising is enabled; the optional analytics banner is separate from advertising consent. Google Ads Settings · aboutads.info.
Sharing and email
Opening a social platform passes the suggested text or website link where the button supports it; it does not automatically post your image. Copying, downloading or using the device share menu is initiated by you. The receiving platform applies its own policy. If you email us, we receive your address and message and use them to respond to the request. Please email us to request deletion of that correspondence.
Manage your data
Reset grid removes the saved selection and images for this site. Clearing browser site data also removes the draft and saved analytics choice. The site has no user accounts and does not sell your grid or contact information. Questions about this policy can be sent to Bruce Du at the contact address.
